Use simple clay hand building techniques to create unique flowers to add to your summer garden! Bring photo ideas to add texture and details to make them real. Join us in the part II session to complete your art with acrylic paints and sealer to preserve your colorful sculpture. These will never wilt! All ages
Friday, June 14, 9am-12pm
Dress up your garden with colorful stained glass in concrete stones. You choose and design the shape. Fast setting concrete allows pieces to go home the same day. All ages.
Wednesday, July 10, 5-8pm
Explore the ancient technique of using hot wax and bright colored dyes to make beautiful colorful “one of a kind” art on cotton fabric. You choose the size and subject. Ages 9 and up.

Learn in simple steps how to model clay into shimsical critters real or imaginary. Return the following week to add colors and patterns using acrylic paint. All ages.

Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique, which produces patterns on fabric. Create your own patterns using cotton rectangles, perfect to serve as a placemat or runner. All ages.
Monday, July 15, 5-7pm
Make your story scape with fabric showing your most valued things, places or your dreams! These make great pillows, placemats or framed art. Teens and up.
Tuesday July 16, 9am-12pm
Use techniques of collage and/or assemblage of found items to create “one of a kind” pendants. All materials provided, but you are encouraged to bring photos and broken jewelry etc. All ages
Tuesday, July 23, 9am-12pm
Use various colored and printed papers along with images to explore imaginative creations. Teens and up.
Saturday, July 27, 9am-12pm
Transform random found objects into art that resembles life or could be totally imaginative in design. May add paint for interest. All ages.
Wednesday, July 31, 5-8pm
Learn the fun of mixing collage images with acrylic paint on canvas. This finished piece will earn a spot in your most visited room of the house! All ages.
Friday, August 2, 5-8:30pm
Find inspiration in the colors and rolling hills surrounding Grandview and relax at the end of the week! Using a wide array of collage materials and water-based mediums, you will learn how to layer elements to create a pair of mixed media landscape pieces. Best for teens and above.
Saturday, August 3, 9-11am
Create the pet of your dreams in this clay hand-building class. We'll start with a simple pinch pot, then add clay embellishments, textures, and color to bring your creations to life! All ages welcome but young artists should bring an adult helper. Glazed and fired pieces will be ready for pick up at Grandview a few weeks after the class.
Wednesday, August 7, 9am-12pm
This class is an introduction to color theory and basic watercolor techniques. You will learn how to compose a quality watercolor in a few hours to bring your piece home ready for the frame. Teens and above.
Friday, August 9, 5-8:30pm
Explore fun tie-dye techniques of folding, twisting and binding fabrics with rubber bands, pennies, thread, clips and clothespins. Students might want to bring to a pre-washed T-shirt or old clothing items to repurpose for reuse. We are using fiber-reactive dyes that work well with a high content of plant fibers such as cotton, rayon and linen. Prayer flags & cotton hankies with be provided. All ages.
Saturday, August 10, 9-4pm
This class can be instructional or used as an open studio! Learn the basic techniques of glass construction to make your stained glass masterpiece. Should you be a beginner or have advanced skills, this class is for you. Finished piece goes home with you that day. Patterns provided or bring your own. Best for teens and above.
